It's the beginning of the first full week of Fall and we got our brains going this morning with the Not So Impossible Trivia from our friends at the Literacy Alliance of West Nipissing. Congratulations to all of our qualifiers for the monthly prize which this month includes a $25 gift certificate from Michaud and Levesques. Lise Brassard was the monthly winner for September.
This morning's "Not So Impossible Trivia" question was:
The Salsa is a type of:
a. Car
b. A dance style
c. An exotic butterfly
Correct Answer:
b - A dance style . We had 100% accuracy for only the fourth time on our "Not So Impossible Trivia". Well done!!
Box office numbers for the weekend looked like this:
1. “Lion King 3D” 22.6 million dollars
2. "Moneyball" 20.6 million dollars
3. "Dolphin Tale" 20.26 million dollars
Congratulations also to Carol Ann Legault who correctly identified our "Name That Double Speed Classic" as "I Fought The Law" by the Bobby Fuller Four.
The Sturgeon Falls Lumberjacks had a victorious weekend with a Friday night blowout of the Deseronto Storm 14-4 and an 8-3 win against Bobcaygeon on Saturday night at the Sturgeon Falls Arena. They are back in action this weekend with three games including a home game on Friday night 7:30 at the Sturgeon Arena against the Algoma Avalanche.
Anne Lanteigne of Tim Hortons in Sturgeon Falls gave us an update on their very successful "Smile Cookie" campaign. They had set a goal of $12000.00 for West Nipissing and they surpassed it with $13948.00 all of which will go to West Nipissing Community Living. Congratulations and thanks to all who bought cookies.
Enjoy your Monday
