Friday October 14th- recap

It was a wet but fun Friday morning today. Congratulations to Julie Landry who won 2 tickets to see the Lumberjacks tomorrow night against the Algoma Avalanche. She correctly identified our Double Speed Classic this morning - Buddy Holly - Oh Boy.

Our Moose Impossible Trivia question was :A study shows on average, men do this six times a year. What is it?
Correct answer:CRY

Two New movies and a documentary are out this long weekend :

In "The Thing", a parasite that can mimic anything it touches will pit human against human as it tries to survive and flourish.
he remake of “Footloose” opens tonight.
And Star Trek fans rejoice, the William Shatner documentary “Captains” is in theaters in North Bay and Sudbury… William Shatner travels the world to connect with each of the actors who have played Captains over the long life of the Star Trek franchise.

Sturgeon Falls Lumberjacks have two games this weekend, tonight in Lefroy to play the Wave and tomorrow at home against Algoma - game time for that one is 7:30.

Finally we had the chance to talk with local "Cash For Life" winner Kimberly Shave this morning who was over the moon at her $675 000.00 jackpot. She bought herself a new custom Rav 4 and plans some philanthropy with much of the rest. Nice work.

Have a great weekend.
