The Sturgeon Falls Lumberjacks had a victorious weekend and moved into a tie for first place in the GMHL with a Friday night 7-4 win over the Algoma Avalanche. They beat the Shelburne Red Wings 9-6 Saturday night at the Sturgeon Falls arena
And on Sunday the Lumberjacks won with a depleted bench including their 3 top scorers. Final score was Sturgeon 6 Mattawa 4.
They are back in action tonight to wrap up their 4 games in 4 nights with a trip to Orangeville to face the Americans.
"Une canne ca depanne” – or loosely translated to “every can helps” happens this week.
This project aims to help people who depend on the West Nipissing Food Bank .
- Wednesday, October 5th, between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m:
volunteers will go door to door in all the communities of West Nipissing to gather non-perishable food items.
- Thursday, October 6th, from 1:30 pm:
We invite you to be part of the human chain that will transport the food from Franco Cite to the food bank.
